September 2019 Round Up – Climbers, Fallers, Winners & Emergers

The build up and the anticipation for a birthday bonus gripped the Football Index’ing world throughout September. Traders had already clocked onto the fact that there was one last year around September.

And then on the 24th September, we got the announcement from Fi promoting their birthday bonus of 10% and 5% cash back on your net buys.

The FOOTIE rose 2.86% on the day of the announcement as cash which possibly could have been sat on the sidelines in anticipation of this bonus was piled back in. You can use our free Tracker Charts report to do your own review.

As you can see on the far right bar, we went into negative growth as part 1 ended. We now move into Part 2 of the bonus and call bonus cash will be paid on 19th October so we await to see what the growth is like come then.

Here at IndexGain, it’s been a case of updating BuzzBot to show 19/20 data. The BuzzBot commands /igteam, /igrank and /igovers reports for Slack.

/igteam allows you to view match day averages by team as shown below for Bayern Munich.

Righteeoooohh, on to rounding up what happened in September…..

Top dividend earners

Super month for Ronaldo who quietly goes about racking up the dividends in September. Ronaldo’s price is +27p in September which equates to 9.28%.

It’s also been a good month for Mahrez and Sensi, both earning some match day dividends with some rather consistent and impressive scores.

In terms of match day dividends, creative midfielders are dominating the scoring charts each week and also seem to be dominating the dividend wins too – something which has become apparent with the new match day scoring matrix.Parejo has won match day divs twice in September including a star man win.

Mahrez has just been consistent every time he plays….Mahrez has risen 64p in September which equates to 50.39% in one month.

Stefano Sensi is one player which has emerged this month after scoring over 200 match day points on 3 occasions. Here’s his player info report from Slack as it stands at the time of writing this post.

Looking at Media Buzz winners for September, it’s largely dominated by the premium players.

Messi’s injury and the racial abuse Lukaku has received dominated the headlines in September. Ronaldo quietly winning 8p in media dividends also.

NOTE: If you don’t know already, from 1st October 2019, Media Buzz is now open to ALL players on the index. Not just the top 200. See this tweet from Football Index twitter account.

Biggest Capital Appreciation

It’s been a great month for Odegaard holders. His price has risen £1.29 in September followed by the in-form striker Malen who went up by £1.24.

Haaland scored a hat-trick in the first Champs League game of the season, pushing his price up 77p on the month.

Up next Mason Mount who has shot up in price by £1.57. Having bagged some early goals and on set pieces, he seems to have put the memories of Barkley on penalties in the summer to bed.

It has also been a good August for Paco Alcacer holders who has increased in price by 86.6% as well as earning 4p in IPD’s in August. He’s also in the Spain squad so expect more returns over September.

Serie A kicked off a bit later so the likes of Sensi and Brozovic saw some rises as hyped built for their single game day with Lecce.

Biggest Fallers in September

Let’s take a look at the biggest price fallers in September…

It’s been an awful month for Rashford and Pogba holders – all starting with the penalty taker debacle. Since then, both players have been dwindling away in price.

Beauty of this report is that some players have faded away and could be seen as an opportunity to buy in if you believe these players could turn it around soon. Sancho for example, as the January and summer transfer rumours start to surface.

So, that wraps up September’s winners, losers and emergers. Let’s see what October brings in this crazy world of Football index.
